The F2 key is located on inteo topmost row of keys on the Dell keyboard. So anything not too complicated as I still don’t understand Linux near as much as I do Windows.
If there’s a harder way to do something I’ll probably find it. So I fixed it I also installed all of the ndiswrappers and all of the wireless stuff I could find so between that and changing the key to WEP I finally fixed it. I tried adjusting the firewall a while ago and nework no luck I can connextion my router and I was able to put in my wep key but it still will not connect.

Thank you for your help! I don’t even think you can do that with Linux and the FN key that controls the functions at the top of the keyboard.
I hadn’t thought about the firewall pro/witeless I can check it out and see if I can connect.
Must be something wrong with how the software is written as I can see networks so I know it wasn’t off. So please make your explanations as uncomplicated as possible.

This by the way was a test to see how Linux would work with this laptop using another hard drive I have for it. I know from using Windows though that the firewall is always on even wired it stays on as it has questioned downloads at cohnection in Windows 7. I can’t say as I am still new to it although I have looked at many different flavors and distributions out there.
